Monroe, Louisiana: newer resident...
-
10/2/2005
We have been residents of Monroe now for two and a half years. We have enrolled our child in private education here because of low scores in public education at the local schools. After our child graduates we will be leaving this area of Louisiana for these reasons: 1. High crime rate, 2. lack of jobs, 3. higher costs of living (high taxes, goods and services) 3. lack of community parks, 4. poor zoning rules, 5. poor educational scores in public schools, which, we believe, affects the community long-term.
