Great Place for Retirees

PV has everything you need - close to home...all the stores, good restaurants, top of the line medical facilities, 5 lakes, Harkin theaters, bowling alley, vets, Lodges - Moose, Elks, VFW, as well as a wonderful climate, mild winters, beautiful scenery, and close to historic Prescott, only a few hours from Phoenix if you want the desert, or Flagstaff is you want to ski, and the Grand Canyon and Lake Powell. Great opportunities for seniors, community college continuing ed courses - a healthy atmosphere and attitude of locals. I highly recommend giving PV a look.

I agree with you. I have fallen in love with Prescott and the valley. There is so much to do and see here. No place is perfect, but I think it is pretty close. Not nearly the liberal as the area that I moved from. Most people are positive, helpful and peaceful. I would say the only negative thing would have to be jobs are not plentiful.
