We moved here from another city in the Bay Area. I wouldn’t recommend this town to anyone that is of color. People around here won’t like you or take kindly to you unless you fit in their box. If you like diversity and you like an inclusive environment based on my personal experience you won’t find that here. My wife and I experienced a lot of passive aggressive behavior and rude racist remarks from people in our neighborhood and while we were out and about. We constantly had the police called on us for excessive noise ( dog barking allegedly which we had proof on camera that he was not, baby crying too much which I mean she’s a newborn that’s what they do, complaints that we smoke In our apartment when we don’t, I had my vehicle towed because my neighbor said it was an abandoned vehicle even though I drive it and it was legally parked on the street, my only crime was that I put black lives matter on my rear window, my neighbor told me we couldn’t attend the community Christmas party because Christmas is for Christians to celebrate, A white guy told someone in line at Costco near pleasant Hill that he didn’t want to stand next to “his kind” the person was an older Asian Man no one said anything to defend the older man everyone stated quiet ... I could keep going but I think you get the point.
