It is what you make of it

Greensboro is what you make of it, I've lived here for most of my life. It's not the most exciting to place to live but there are things to do here. The downtown area is nice and clean and trust me compared to the surrounding cities in NC, is pretty vibrant. The job climate here isn't great at all but I'm sure it'll improve, though I plan on living this city very soon. If you're raising a family then Greensboro is a great city to live in, for a person in their 20s or out of college, it's not the best city to live in. It is a diverse area, the people are friendly but there seems to be a resistance to Greensboro expanding and becoming the major city it truly can become.
The thing is this isn't a major city, people who move here from larger cities will of course think Greensboro sucks. If they're coming from a smaller city then Greensboro is exciting. Like I said before Downtown is a nice, clean area with music and arts, there are quite a few clubs here to go to and theaters. There are the Grasshopper baseball games which are played in a very nice ballpark, the ACC and NCAA tournaments are played in the Coliseum. NC A&T's homecoming is a pretty big event and tourist attraction, there are quite a few concerts and shows that happen here too.
We have a PGA tour golf tournament, the Chrysler Classics. There's a rich history here and we have some museums and quite a few colleges. If you have to live here coming from a bigger city, just be more creative in how you decide to spend your leisure time.
