Yeah, I hear you on that one. I'm a person of color, a nice guy too at that. Educated, respectable. Within two weeks, I got my car stolen, I called the police, and they asked if I had been drinking. Of course I did, while I waited in the store with my storeowner friend, for an hour for Sgt. Redneck to finally show up to the scene.
But basically if you're white GO FOR IT. The Cards are in your favor BIG TIME. This is also the capital of the Confederacy so knock yourselves out. I moved down there for a job, in which after I started, they hired some manager who I pretty much showed the ropes to, for her to only lay me off because I posed a threat. And i was actaully the 'smart one' there due to my extensive educational background. I didn't even act rowdy or anything as I'm sure some of you are assuming. No loud music either. Afterward, her boss recommended I move back up North because people like her operate w/out impunity. Needless to say, I slapped these rednecks with a suit to move my stuff back up. how do you move me down there to start an office, then lay me off a year later after I've done that. i'm sure the white people here are like, cmon you did something really black, you're just not telling us, cmon. But no, this chick was a pill-popping drunk with a crmimal record who well operated w/out immpunity.
So if are a person of color and want a taste of that, come on down. I remember there was this drunk white guy loitering outside the gas station/store. I remember I go in the store, and the cops start harassing me. What in the hell? You all can keep it. But I guess that was the goal all along. Only thing I got out of this was the 25K I sued them for, so it wasn't a total loss. What kept me sane is all the newly white crackheads that the hoods created down there since there's a bit of a crack problem. They used to come from miles around for that crack. Must have been some real Charlie Sheen type quality.
