I worked in Scottsdale for several years. I lived in the Phoenix area for about 10 years and these reviews are accurate. Scottsdale (and the northern suburbs) are filled with arrogant and fake people. It's ridiculous. Scottsdale is absolutely beautiful but I was happy to leave Phoenix for the Midwest. It seems that the housing boom really killed the cool vibe that Scottsdale once had. There are plenty of good places outside of Scottsdale. You can get what it has to offer without the fake people.
