I lived in Tn but moved to Fl close to two years ago..guess what? I am moving BACK to TN. Why? Because it is cheaper to live in, the people are friendlier and you get more for your money in property. I have lived in many parts of Tn, Nashville, Cookeville and Gatlinburg. I am going back to Nashville area. Why? Gatlinburg is beautiful but the jobs in the area are basically seasonal due to the tourist and you MUST have a car or your screwed if you need to leave the area. Cookeville is nice but it is a College town and again must have a car because there is no public transportation. Murfreeboro is a nice historic town. Nashville is a metro area and has a wide public transportation system, the city itself is expensive to live in but there are many suburbs as Madison Goodlettesville,Hendersonville, Old Hickory, Spring hill.many have connections to downtown buses if you have no car. Although it is famous for country music, there is other music like Blues, R&B and alternative if that's what you like. many parks in Nashville and many free concerts during the year. Downfalls are first week of June. CMA fest brings millions into the area, and traffic on highways sucks.
