Diversity on Grand Lake
Star Rating - 10/14/2008
Grove is the heart of Grand Lake o' the Cherokees in NE Oklahoma. NE Ok is similar to the Ozarks in topography. Not anything like western Oklahoma with flat plains. We have hills and trees and lately lots of rain. We are called Green Country with good reason. Grand Lake has 1300 miles of shoreline and it's valuable. Our community has the quality of small town life and a lot of part time lake dwellers from all over the U.S. This area was ranked by Rand McNally as the 4th best place in the country to retire a few years back. Being centrally located in the country makes this a great place for retirement with family all directions. We have great schools and we enjoy our Oklahoma football tradition.
