when I lived there(a long time ago)I can recall one of the other employees (who was LDS)talking about Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. You have to understand that they could not have been very intelligent people after all anybody that would look out over a lake with water not even fit to drink and land not even fit to grow anything and proclaim,"This is the place".They could not of been very smart!

You did experience what the NON LDS folks experience when they move to West Jordan or South Jordan. And because you are LDS but not UTAH LDS, you got a snootful of it, I'm sorry to say. I'm a NON LDS Utah person who lives in Sugarhouse. You were extra-lonely because you were caught between the two poles: Non-LDS and UBER UTAH LDS. In a weird way, it might have been easier on you if you'd been Presbyterian and lived in Sugarhouse I'm sorry to say. They keeping up with the Jonses and "OH, my cousin is married to someone whose father is in the Quorum of the 70" (is that what it's called?) - that BS is EXACTLY what happens to Non-Utah Mormons when they come here. One of my LDS friends said "It's like Mormon Junior High School." I'm sorry that happened to you. xo
