Review of Santa Fe, New Mexico

A great place to live or visit!
Star Rating - 5/5/2017
400+ Years of history and culture embody Santa Fe. Located at 7,000" with the ski basin at 12,000 makes a spectacular setting and weather that is impossible to beat with four full seasons. Just an hour north of Albuquerque with 600,000 population and many additional activities. When I moved here
25 years ago wishing to live in the mountain west I took all of the Sunday newspapers for a year from Colorado to Santa Fe. Santa Fe always has activities year round compared to many which were only seasonal. A world class opera is just one of the many entertainment venues.
The cost of living statistics don't tell the whole story as it is an informal place not requiring a suit and tie anywhere. Property taxes are low which makes a big difference. It's a great place to live.

You claim Santa Fe is only for the rich and you hang in lake Tahoe. You couldn't find a shake for under a mil what a joke you are. Tahoe is for wealthy Californian's please dont't move, it's people moving from California that are driving up real estate prices in the surrounding states as well as there politics.

Sorry if this posts twice. This website seems to think Santa Fe is in the great state of Nebraska, not New Mexico (see crime statistics page). In case y'all are wondering, my beautiful home state is the one right between Texas and Arizona and has been there as a state since 1912. Then again it was populated beginning 1535. Put that in your revisionist history.

Only the rich move and can afford to live in Santa Fe. World class art and opera. Who cares only the rich buy the art and go to the Opera. When was the last time you bought art and went to the opera. What a joke...really who cares. The property taxes are not that low and the state taxes everything including pensions, income and social security. If you have millions of dollars it makes a big difference. Your ski season is short really and pitiful. Santa Fe ski gets a little over 200" inches a year. I live near Lake Tahoe which is a premere Mountain resort meca. In 2019 most ski resorts received well over 500" of snow and some near 600". They skied till June. New Mexico is a joke compared to Lake Tahoe and REno area. Who cares about suit and ties....no one wears them now anyway...not sure rational on your thinking.
