We moved this past summer to Pasadena from the mid-west, and we could not be happier. Actually, we probably will be happier in January and February, when we are not shoveling snow! Pasadena is a GREAT place to live. We walk to almost everything, including our jobs, restaurants, the library, groceries, and any kind of entertainment you could want. The only down side we have found is the schools. They are so bad that most people are forced to put their kids in private schools, which we did. The good news is that there are so many wonderful private schools near by to choose from. Yes, it is more expensive to live here, but we consider it a "weather tax", and it is worth every penny. Though it is a big city, Pasadena has the quaint feel of the mid west, with lots of trees, and very friendly people. We love it here!!!
