Mile high town

This small community located in the high desert has so much to offer. Clean air, low crime, great recreational opportunities, and friendly folks.
The climate is mild most all year 'round and offers four seasons with summers in the 80* - 90* range and some snow come early winter.

I am thinking of retiring to Prescott in the near future. I have visited the town only once but fell in love with the clean air, scenery and the friendly people. Some of the reviews on this site make it sound like a horrible place to live. What are your thoughts on these negative comments? Why the disparity in comments? Is everyone really talking about the same place?
