We've had the opportunity to see this community grow over the last 22 years. We moved here as a result of our 2nd transfer. Retirement was just a very distant thought. Now two years away from retirement would we consider retiring here? Well that is a difficult question. On one hand my beloved daughter and beloved son-in-law live here as well as my son. I love them all & would not enjoy being away from them. But on the other hand most of my relatives live in Oregon and Washington. Hmmmm.
Cleveland is in the deep south and is in the Bible belt. We are Christians and enjoy our church and church family. We are not far from great fishing, rafting, camping, boating, and the outdoor list goes on. We have a volunteer symphony, a volunteer acting group in their infancy, car shows minimum of once a month in town as well as several in the surrounding 100 miles, Not far away is an award winning aquarium and in the same city is a 1 week long music festival every year that brings in the big name groups and entertainers. Florida is 5 hours away by car and coastal resorts a little further. For those who adore golf, Agusta is about 5 hours away. Spring is beautiful but laden with pollens. Places to eat are quite numerous and varied from the fast food restaurants to a resturant that serves some exotic items from around the country. We have a small mall locally and a much larger one 20 miles away.
Well, that is all I want to say right now. Don't want to give away all the secrets to this little town. Stop by and look it over on your way up or down I75.
