Davenport Iowa is a hell-hole. unless you have a ton of cash don't expect any variety. They pushed the lower-income people out on the streets and made most of them homeless over this Palmer rezoning project. the rent is so high in Davenport its almost impossible to have your own apartment. If you do manage to get your own apartment, expect to pay a ton of rent with very little amenities and more than likely a slumlord running the show. And if you want a good high paying job forget about it. Mmost jobs are for people who know somebody to get their foot in the door for them. The rest are meant to live in squalor living paycheck-to-paycheck and choosing what days of the week they can eat. Davenport is nothing more than an overpriced corrupted dump site. Unless you have a lot of money to pay for private school don't expect your child to get a decent education from the public schools. Most of the teachers are too busy trying to keep all the rowdy kids from going nuts in class and usually don't have time to teach your children their lessons. It's more like a building where the children get babysat for 8 hours a day. If Your thoughts are turning to Davenport Iowa to make you a home sweet home, good luck to you make sure you have plenty of money on you too cuz you ain't going to make it if you don't.
