I was born and raised in Binghamton. I left at 18 for college in Tampa Fl.-1973. Way before Florida was a tax haven for New Yorkers. I moved to Houston, TX 80-84. Talk about crime...Returned to Tampa and now own homes in both Tampa and Binghamton. After 41 yrs of teaching and coaching in HS, I’m retiring. I plan on being a “snowbird”(live in Binghamton during the summer, Tampa the rest). I’ve always referred to Binghamton as my hometown. Two and half hour drive from NYC and Philadelphia. Finger Lakes to the north. Like everything, it’s what you make it.
