Living in Pekin, IL

I have traveled and lived all over the world. Pekin rates about in the middle of the places I have lived. Small town atmosphere with some bigger city facilities. The best part of Pekin is the park system. They have a beautiful lagoon with a large adjoining park with playground and baseball fields. Two public golf courses (one is PGA rated) and several parks/forest preserves outside of the city limits that offer horse riding, archery ranges, walking trails, biking trails etc. Pekin sits about 15 minutes from dowtown Peoria. There you will find many fine restaurants and after hours places.
