Review of Bridgewater, Connecticut

Connecticut's Best Kept Secret!
Star Rating - 3/26/2017
Bridgewater is a quiet and safe community that is convenient to several metro areas yet virtually crime free. It is located within and easy 70 mile drive from Manhattan. The property taxes are also astoundingly low compared to other areas in Connecticut. There is an excellent Elementary School that outspends nearly every school in the US per pupil and also has a low student to teacher ratio. The Town now has a beautifully renovated Village Store and Bistro in a Historic Building that once housed the first mail order company in the US. It is the closest town in the Litchfield Hills to Manhattan and is only ten miles to Danbury and 17 miles to Waterbury.
