I am a lifetime resident of the Kokomo area. There are areas of the city where the crime is high, at night. If you use common sense (as in most cities) you will be safe.
There is public 1 golf course in Kokomo and 2 others in the county. There are several golf courses within a 50 mile radius. There are also 2 bowling alleys and a brand new movie theater. We also have 2 malls, although one is fairly bare when it comes to stores. I don't understand why because it is a nice mall. There are adequate things to do here and a ton of restaurants. And if you can't find anything to do in Kokomo, Indianapolis is only about an hour away.
The only real complaint I have about Kokomo is the weather in the winter. If you don't mind cold weather from November-March and snow from December-February, then Kokomo isn't a bad place to live.
