Review of Soldotna, Alaska

The Weather In Soldotna Alaska
Star Rating - 7/24/2006
May through late August: Summer with highs being in the 70's. This Summer (2006) so far it's been mainly cloudy and rainy. Our Summer daylight is awesome though, and most of the summer the sun really never sets.

September through late October: Fall. Very short fall.

October through late April: Winter, and yes 7 months of it. In the winter SAD and/or cabin fever can kick in from the long hours of no sun. You have to absolutley be a lover of something to make it through the winters here.

April to late May: Spring. Permafrost is loosing it's grip and the earth takes on a new look with lots of bumps and snow melting which cause one heak of a break up. Mud boots needed in most places.
