Review of Moses La,

Lacking in a lot of things
Star Rating - 1/8/2017
The population stays around the same. Companies come and go, and the overall jobs (I mean professional jobs, not BK or McD's) seem to come and go too. Mitsubishi is only staying a few years at best, and Genie had a lay-off. Home prices skyrocketed, perhaps because wet-siders are retiring here to get some sun. The lake is nasty and slimy. I haven't been here long, but it seems change is happening. The Mormons don't have as huge a hold on Moses Lake as some point out. If anything the town is now being overrun by Hispanics and gang activity is increasing from what I am gathering. There is no food choices here. I hear the town keeps out businesses to preserve their own interests (i.e. the guy who owns all the decent places in town.....Michaels on the Lake, the Bistro, and Rockbottom) and shopping sucks. You have to drive 1.5 hours in any direction to get things. Amazon delivers though. The Walmart is all there really is. The other stores have limited selection and high prices. This is not a place for older kids and young adults. I am shocked the teen pregnancy rate is not high. It is still cheaper and less crowded than other parts of the state. Plus the people in Moses Lake are red in values and get along well with Texas folk. Sadly the blue faction on the other side of the mountain controls the state.
