I have lived in many other cities move here when my husband retired from the core, drugs, accidents, drinking and driving, one way accidents all the time. Our One major road is completely out of control. Police and city trying their best to get control of the major drug problem which leads to a lot of activity and violence and road collision but it is just completely out of control. I do not recommend this city at all, I know a lot of people who were born and raised here who are leaving in droves along with people who move here thinking it was so great and beautiful and grand and spend a little more time then a couple of weeks and you'll see things differently. Prices for homes and apartments are ridiculous, the when you think you found a decent area because it is cheaper and your close to beach and or zoo, then your inundated with crime galore, people breaking into homes, cars, mail boxes, pedestrians hit or almost hit because of this insane One road. Visitors and people coming from Pensacola throw GB and Navarre For Ft Walton Beach and Destin, it is a nightmare...Do not move here.

This person must not live here - it is beautiful. I have lived here over 5 years and never - never had any problems like they say. Summers are hot but it is the south- and the beach is always cool. Winters are very mild with November thru March my favorite time due to great weather 40’s at night and 60’s to 70’s in day. Rainfall is very misleading as it does rain a lot but it is typical summer rain where only lasts few minutes then is sunny and beautiful again!
