This Town Is Disgusting

I don't think I could possibly imagine a worse town than this. There is crime like you would not believe. My friend's dad actually was killed because they owned a house here, someone set their house on fire, and he was inside of the house when it was burned. Arson is a terrible thing. I myself have actually been assaulted in Cambridge, and I am constantly receive threats from the locals involving being raped or killed. Many of the residents are bitter, angry people. At least 25% of the houses are completely abandoned. Believe it or not, the median income here is lower than that of Detroit, Michigan's. This town, in a lot of ways, is actually worse off than Detroit. You just get tired of seeing nothing but abandoned, rotting houses and Project buildings. The population of the town is only about 10,600 people, but there are at least 5-10 violent crimes per day. I don't even pay attention to the property crimes anymore, and I can't even tell you how many times my money and possessions have been stolen. But the city government just turns their back to the crime, poverty, drugs, graffiti, and abandoned homes. They don't even care about crime, and are too cheap to even buy surveillance cameras. I can't even describe how horrendously bad the schools are. There are literally fights, drugs, and prostitution in the area schools. There was recently a terrorist attack in which businesses were held hostage, and explosives such as IEDs were planted around the downtown. The Columbus Bomb Squad had to come in and disarm the bombs, and thanks to them, no one was hurt. I'm just surprised there were any businesses to attack, because of the terrible economy here. The only places to actually shop are Walmart and Kmart, there aren't any malls nearby. Land sells for insanely cheap, since no one wants to live in the area. You feel completely cut off from the world here. Parts of Cambridge are not even accessible to the police because of West Side, a large, extremely violent gang in town that controls part of the organized crime. After the glass business went down in the 1950s, the whole town went down, and has only gotten worse and worse. The population has dropped substantially and is still constantly dropping. Never go to the "city park." If you dare to, it is completely covered in vulgar, offensive graffiti, which, unfortunately, I was exposed to at a very young age. NEVER even consider living here, and NEVER EVER EVER consider raising a family here. If you want to raise a family, head north to suburbs of Akron or Cleveland, like Canal Fulton, Hudson, Chagrin Falls, Solon, etc., JUST NOT HERE!!
