I was born and raised in Atlanta , my entire family have been here probably since slavery. But indeed don't believe the hype of Atlanta, it's over priced and the jobs do not pay enough to make up for the cost of living . As black people we're better off in the city limit or (Fulton co) because of the police out of that area . Once your out of Atlanta the police harass you like your a criminal. for Atlanta police to pull you over and give you a ticket it has to be your fault (they are very laid back) But ovall if your black don't move anywhere outside of Atlanta.

Thomasville, GA. is not that far from Atlanta, GA. and the racism is alive and well. It has nothing to do with black people, Jewish people, and Asian people; no, it has to do with Spanish and Latin people. These racial discrimination people do not like when you come into their town and make them look bad in business like Real Estate or building a better home that they are building. When someone excel in a few yours and they have been doing these for yours and have not excelled they do not like it. These people will do anything to keep you from excelling in their town. These racial discrimination people do not have any imagination at all when it comes to excelling in Real Estate or in home building so they have to copy others who are making a difference and have an imagination. Racism is also alive and well in a few local enforcement agencies.

Okay, I must chime in here. For one, I have lived in Atlanta for approx. 7 years. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. For the most part, Atlanta is a party city similar to New York, but with far less jobs available for minorities. This poses a serious problem for a city with nearly 5 million people (or so I heard)? Now factor in the ratio of whites to black and there you have it. Especially since Atlanta has seen a huge increase of the Hispanic and black population originating from low income cities/areas throughout the United States; New York, Louisiana, Florida, Chicago, and California in particular. There are many others, but I have lived there long enough to speak to a good majority of people from other states, and all of their reasons for coming to Atlanta were the same: "no jobs", "lower cost of living", "better opportunities for minorities", and we found all of that to be untrue because the cost of living has indeed increased, and the job market is very competitive out there due to a large amount of people seeking higher education. So to be honest, Atlanta is best for partying and touring, do not live there unless you absolutely have no choice. If you have a good job, money, and a family, I would choose Fairburn, Loganville, Lilburn, or personally some place FAR away from Atlanta.
