I hate Queen Creek, AZ

I have now lived in Queen Creek, Arizona for 6 years now and I hate it. I wish I had never moved to Arizona. If you are a devout Mormon then you will love living in Queen Creek. They own the town. I had to pull my child out of the school here because it was so horrible. The hot summers are a nightmare! It doesn't matter that it's "dry" because once it hits 105 and over it's an OVEN. There is no relief from it. It is all mormons and lots of illegals of course. The housing market crashed here like no other place and now my home has lost so much value I can't even sell it if I wanted to. And I wish I could to move out of Queen Creek and at least to Chandler where there aren't as many wierd mormons hanging out! I would love to move completely out of Arizona but can't because of job market as my husband has a good job here. I can't wait until he can retire to get the hell out of here! Do yourself a favor and don't move to Arizona...especially if you have kids which made it worse for us as the schools are horrible! I have made a few good friends from Chandler and Tempe but it's not worth staying here for and I can't wait to leave one day.

Lilly, You sound like a very negative person. There is a reason for everything that shows no accountability for you. I have been in Queen Creek for 7 years now. It is a growing thriving community which is a great alternative for those of us in the Phoenix area that do not want the everyday headaches of living in the other suburbs. I lived in Scottsdale for 5 years before moving to Queen Creek. I would not move back Scottsdale if someone gave me a house (and I was offered one). While you complain about the short summers in Arizona keep in mind that we have some of the best winters, springs, and falls any where. If you are truly that miserable in the great state of Arizona please do us all a favor and leave.

So you are telling me the lds run the queen creek high schools? i don't look down on the lds, but when your kids are not allowed to hang out with my non lds child, then theres a problem, and whatever happen to the division between church and state. does it not concern anyone that az is breaking federal laws by allowing lds to offer classes with the schools. Are there any nice parts of the valley where we can relocate to and have good schools for our kids without having to deal with lds this and lds that. I mean seriously. I live in chicago, and we have churches everywhere, religon has never been a problem here. So when you make your lives and the people your religion states you can break bread with control your every move, it is a cult. where are there no lds in the valley....

I'm LDS and moving to Queen Creek in about 18 months when my husband finishes Chiropractic school... What's so bad about all the "Momrons"? I've never heard so much negitivity toward us, we're generally good natured people. Just curious. I'm mean this sincerely and with respect. We have been wondering if the Church there is humble and down to earth like we're used to, or if its more like it is in Utah (where you get a lot of people with high opinions of themselves who don't practice what they preach.) I'm also very curious why you wanted to take your kids out of school... because of the Mormons, or because the schools are bad? My children were homeschooled until this year and I've been pretty shocked by the stuff they're being exposed to by other kids at school. I was curious if you felt the same way. Thanks!
