I laughed so hard when I read this. It is a relief to hear someone say what I have been thinking for so long. I moved here for family and have literally hated every minute of the last 3 years of living here. I today have again come to the conclusion that no matter how hard I strain to see the good, the only way to improve this place would be to bury it under 12 feet of ash. The people are dumb, uncultured, trash. The town is trash. The night life is trash. The dating scene is trash. I am well spoken, educated, driven and apparently the very definition of an anomaly here, and am simply stared at by the troll people that live here. I came here a race car driver, fabricator, and a studio artist engaged to a beautiful athlete. This town's lack of opportunity, lack of culture, and horrible lack of everything a city should have, ended up forcing her to leave to be able to pursue her career and ended up offering me nothing but a headache. RUN, don't walk, away if you are able. I will be finishing up my projects and leaving for wherever-the-hell-else-I-can-find soon, to attempt to restart my life. I have been many places, and Orlando truly is a rotten, dog pile of a place. The only people that like it here simply don't know better, are happy in their filth and ignorance, or have some ridiculous little click they exist in. What's the point to live in Florida and not be near water??? Orlando has no beach, culture life, no live music bars, no theatre, no tradition, NADA! Orlando is the Restaurant Chain Capital of the World (Bad Lobster, Olive Garlic, Taco Hell, Perking's, Golden Corral,...uuuggghhh) Downtown is a total Ghetto and I-Drive area is full of annoying tourists. Orlando has the lowest average income in the nation and rank 7th on lowest housing affordability (spending more than 30% of income in rent) Orlando has no job opportunities besides $9/hr hospitalities position. There is no Fortune 100 or Fortune 500 companies in the city. Mickey & Spiderman SUCKS big time!

Oh no its that bad? Because I was planning on moving to Orlando very soon but also stay in a safe neighborhood. I want to move to Orlando because i have alot of family in central Florida that i absolutely miss being in my presence and i live in boredom of a town Pensacola for alomst 10 yrs but im from Ocala. So is there any town thats at least decent for me to live near Orlando just incase the safe neihborhoods are ratchet also? Because yall making it seem like there's no hope anywhere in Orlando lol.

This is exactly how I felt about Fort Lauderdale and Miami when I moved down there in June 2013 - April 2014. The people there made me feel the same exact way. They do underhanded things constantly, but I didn't and don't know or have ever met the person doing it. My advice is get out of there asap by planning how to get out of there now. Take notes of everything. Look up organized stalking if you think you are being targeted.
