Decrease in Quality of Life in Moon township - 7/17/2008
Your review of Moon Township is way off base. Look at the miserable growth rate since 2000. The quality of life is about to take a major hot. There are plans to open a Wal Mart Supercenter in the middle of this tiny community. The traffic right now if quite slow. Adding a major box store in the middle of an already crowded are is asking for trouble......can you say GRIDLCOK? Across the country, 200 to 225 crimes are associated with a 24-hour Wal Mart. The closest Wal Mart to Moon is 5 miles away!! The statistics for police calls since 2001 has averaged over 400 at this adjacent store. Moon is in for this increase in police calls. Local grocery stores and K-Mart will be put out of business. A few of the supervisors that voted FOR Wal Mart were part of a soccer organization that received a hefty "grant" from Wal Mart prior to their yes votes. And you gave Moon Township a FAVORABLE rating. Check your facts, Read More
