West Carroll Parish is located in the northwestern corner of Louisiana. It is bordered by Arkansas to the west and Mississippi to the east. The parish was established in 1877, and its county seat is Oak Grove. The parish has a population of approximately 12,500 people spread across an area of 593 square miles. It is a mostly rural area, with agriculture being one of its main industries. There are also many timber and oil production sites throughout West Carroll Parish.
