Harmon County is located in west-central Oklahoma and exists since before statehood - 7th May 1907 - when Hollis became established as its county seat although other cities such as Gould and Vinson also feature across its 1 298 km² (502 sq mi). According to information from the United States Census Bureau puts Harmon's population estimate at 3 297 individuals; giving Harmon classification amongst some of more sparsely populated counties found encompassed within Oklahomas boundary lines.
