Tillman County lies in southwestern Oklahoma and it was created during statehood - 1st November 1907 - with Frederick assigned as its county seat although larger towns such as Tipton also exist within it's boundaries for over 7000 km² (2700 sq mi). In 2019 an estimated 7190 residents were counted as part of Tillman according to statistics from the United States Census Bureau estimates; making it one of the least densely populated counties found operating within Oklahoma boundaries.
