Barbour County is located in northeastern West Virginia between Monongalia and Randolph Counties along the Tygart River Valley. It covers 408 square miles with a population estimated at 17056 residents which makes up a mostly rural area full of both modern amenities (shopping centers restaurants art galleries etc) as well as lots of natural beauty (ponds streams creeks wildlife preserves mountains forests parks campgrounds).
