For those looking to retire here.... I am also considering retiring to Chattanooga, but not for about 10 years. My wife and I briefly visited there last Septmeber and we were both impressed. We especially enjoyed walking along the river. It is clear that Chattanooga is working hard to maintain and improve the beauty of their city. For the older couple that posted wanting to know about Chataanooga, I will mention Peachtree City, GA. It is also on my list. It appears that they all get around in golf carts. There is about 75 miles of golf cart paths throughout the city. Good luck in your search!
