Elizabethtown KY, great place to live.
Our family just moved into the Elizabethtown area a few months ago and we love it!!! It is a great place to raise a family. It has a great small town feel, (I would guess about 30,000 pop.) with everything that you need. It is a very well kept town. The people here are so nice. We are very pleased with the schools in the area. Elizabethtown Independent Schools have great test scores and are very small in comparison to the county schools, however, Central High School is a larger school and has lots to offer. Louisville is less than an hour away to the north and Nashville, TN is about 2+ hours away to the south. Hardin County is a dry county (no bars and strip clubs) which some people may not like, but with all the problems with alcohol these days, I am fine with that,(again great place to raise kids). Cost of living is much more affordable compared with other places we have lived.
