Central Coast Climate
The weather here in Lompoc is pleasantly mild. During the fall season (September through November) is typically warm until about noonish. There is a very dependable ocean breeze which sweeps in from Surf Beach around 12:30pm every day, like clockwork. Because we are no more than a couple of miles from the sea, we have a cooler range of temperature throughout the day. Around this time of year and into winter, the nights are chilly but not too much so. You can bundle up in your favorite coat and walk up Nob Hill to enjoy the beautiful decorations the more wealthy put up every Christmas. During the summer, Jalama Beach is a terrific place to go to cool off, catch some rays, and enjoy delicious food. Plus, it's only a very short drive down highway 1 south, and a gorgeous scenic 14 mile drive through the hills surrounding Lompoc. All in all, Lompoc is a climatically wonderful place to live, especially if you like to beat the heat.
