Don't Move to Raleigh!!!!!
Please don't believe the media hype....Raleigh sucks!! I moved there from the Washington, DC area (big mistake) and it was the worst decision of my life. Not only is it hard to find a good job that pays well, but it's a boring place full of ignorant North Carolina natives. I lived there for a little over a year and have recently moved back to civilization. The job market is horrible, unless you work in the pharmaceutical or customer service fields. Oh yeah, or unless you went to college only to work in a restaurant or retail store. The two companies that I worked for both had good ol' boy/girl cliques, the people have never been exposed to different cultures, races or religions which adds to their extreme ignorance and a young woman in her thirties actually had the audacity to ask me what Sephora is...I mean, come on, climb out of the cave people.
I met a couple of people while I was there who also believed the lies about how great Raleigh is and they feel the same way as me now and are planning to leave asap. It's not worth it, especially if you currently live in a major metropolitan area. Please trust me, don't do it, you will regret it!!!
