re: Austin Very Unfriendly and Unjust - 2/23/2010 Good points Karen, especially about the unfriendly part and "It is rare that people will ask you about your life or be interested/friendly unless they want something from you." I've been here for over 10 years and I certainly miss the comraderie and friendliness of the people from the East. Each time I travel to California (Orange County, San Francisco) it's like turning on a light switch, people are genuinely friendly and want to get to know you. And I'm talking about California! Anyway, the vibe in Austin is definitely bizarre.
