re: Portland: All Hype and No Substance - 10/31/20 I agree, the PR Hype around Portland is incredibly inaccurate yet powerful and persistent. I keep thinking the editors of the New York Times are large investors and land owners in Portland. They push the place over and over, weekly it seems. And when you get here and buy in it takes a few months or a year to realize it's a con-game. There's nothing here! The only good part is that for the moment there is still a line of greater fools ready to pay 50% more for your house than you did. So I wasted a few years and just made money dumping my house on the next poor sucker.
