Many people ask why I work in New Bern and live in Greenville. It is about a 45min-1 hour driving depending on what time of day it is. I love my job in New Bern but I enjoy the cost effectiveness of living in Greenville even more. The difference pays for the cost of commuting with plenty left over. It also helps that I drive a Mazda 3. Greenville Fire & Rescue have great response times, my neighborhood is quiet, a Level 1 Trauma Center is 5 minutes away, and lots of good eating is just around the corner.
