Adelanto, CA | 1 Review(s)

I am a disabled citizen who has been in this area for over 30 years. I have watched the growth and actually have been involved with the growth personally. I have also volunteered my services in many avenues of the city every year. The city has it's problems but not as badly as other cities in it's growth group.

I love helping people to learn what is out here in this area and what to look out for. I help with real estate problems, I am a notary and have been licensed for real estate in this state since 1969. I help where I can in dealing with deeds, trouble buying homes etc.

Adelanto, CA

The City as it is. - 6/5/2008
Adelanto began in 1974. Two main people were responsible for the growth and the capability for growth and that was the late Patricia Chamberlaine and Mary Scarpa. These two ladies decided that this area was going to be a winner.

The began by annexing property for industrial areas and then residential areas for the workers for the industrial businesses.

The Police Department grew from a three room building to a two story 3000 sq.ft. + area to help enforcement services. Crime is on the rise in all areas of this country but Adelanto and most of the High Desert areas have done a lot to keep gang troubles to a minimum. They have added additional people to continue the visibility in the City for cutting crime in half.

The fire department is a largely growing community and are responsible for mutual aids all over the southern area to help other communities for large fires. The paramedic response is within 5 minutes throughout the city.

The City Hall has also come from a 600 sq. ft. building to a two story 3,000 sq. ft. + building to house the numerous city functions including treasurer, city manager, inspection for construction, animal control and many more.

With any quickly growing community you can expect problems. Those problems are being dealt with on a daily, 24 hour basis. We have some of the nicest and knowledgeable people working in all phases in the community.

I have no idea about any other area experiencing major growth increases and being able to deal with them as adequately as Adelanto is. Call city hall 760-246-2300 and see or hear for yourself. Or just drop in and take a look for yourself.
