Please someone give me a straight honest answer ab - 5/22/2008
I've visited Houston and do not understand the comparison between Dallas and Houston. I looked everywhere in Houston and was not impressed. From overrated Sugarland to Katy, up to the Woodlands and everything in between. When I drove down the roads, there was more trash. The roads look like crap, all crumbling. I goto Dallas and everywhere you have sidewalks, cement roads, grassy medians, Houston doesn't. Houston, all I saw were run down shopping centers, next to new subdivisions, then trailor parks to that. whats with all the ugly electric lines everywhere? The people were more laid back but seemed more trashy. A lot more blue collar. I didn't feel safe in Houston, the demeanor of people was questionable. Can someone explain how Houston and Dallas are so much alike? I sure didn't see it. From what I saw, Houston is a lot more run down, poor zoning, horrible curb appeal. Someone tell me what I'm missing? Isn't Houston one of the fattest cities in the US? Worst ozone? Worst traffic? Yeah you can get a cheap house, but what part of town and neighborhood? Someone please explain what the big deal is with Houston? how is it so much better than Dallas? I sure as hell didn't see it? And no, I don't live in Dallas.

Please, this isn't Oklahoma. I went to your Oklahoma and met the most arrogant and RACIST set of people in my life. This was in college. I don't know what slum you live in where you have issues but you might want to consider moving. This is a big city and it depends where you live. If you can't find a job, maybe its time you focus on your education a little more and less on refernce checks. You say people drive like idiots, maybe your sitting in the left lane clunking around when others are actually trying to get to work, hence the word RUSH in rush hour. If you can't handle the faster pace of life, then maybe it's time to head back to your Oklahoma City. Maybe Tulsa or OKC is better suited for you. Oh that's right. They have an even higher crime rate than Dallas. Google that please. I remember when the tornados hit S OKC in 2000. N OKC, folks started an uprising and lootig began due to all the help being in the S OKC. Dallas is one of the cheapest large cities to live in, so when you state you have no money after bills, you might want to consider a career change. Lived in Dallas proper for 8 years and have never been in an accident. Yes, they do happen, and so does crime, but it's also about your surroundings. Theirs a reason why DFW is one of the fastest growing metro areas in the U.S. And as far as looking for work and advertisement, stay away from craigslist or whatever you utilized for job searches. Maybe this is a little harsh for you, but Dallas is not for everyone. Some people come here and get chewed up and spit out if they don't know what they are doing.
