Living in Jacksonville, NC - 6/6/2010
Jacksonville, NC is a military town. We've got Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River on either side. This is nice for military families, there are a lot of events & activities offered by the military to their service members and family. As for jobs there aren't enough to go around. The weather's good, not too hot and hardly ever any snow. City taxes keep going up but it's pretty safe. Not too much to do without driving at least 45mins to nearby Wilmington, even then not much to do once you've done it. Raleigh's about 2 hrs away and is the closest resonably priced airport.
