Fayetteville, AR
A really nice place... -
11/3/2007I don't live there and I am fairly new to Arkansas...but if I wanted to live in AR for the rest of my life I would live in Fayetteville. It is a really nice town. From what I have seen very clean, pretty (hills and what not). There are a lot of cultured people there but there are also hicks! Hicks are everywhere people...you cannot get away from them! Some ppl are close to family some are not! What is the big deal?
All in all it is a really pretty place, nice university, nice shops, nice down town area, they recycle, variation of reliagion (did not see churches on every corner which is nice) etc.....
There is tons of nature stuff to do...
I might just move there...

10/8/2007well yes and no. It depends on where you live. The LSU campus is really beautiful. The lady from OK hit the nail on the head, the racism is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE...but that is Louisiana period. IT comes from both sides.
We lived in Prairieville. There are good schools there but houses are higher. Lots of ppl try to move there due to the fact that you don't have to send your kids to private school.
Food is awesome, but LA generally has great food.
I don't like Baton Rouge, never have. We are not Christians and honestly were not bothered too much there. There is a GREAT Unitarian church there.

10/7/2007who roam around wal mart on weekends....you found your place! IF you want to see the disasterous affects of inbreeding...visit any local establishment on a weekend night.

Closed minded people
Isolation
Slow living

The local hospital that we have been warned NOT to go to under any circumstances.
Black widow spiders
Spanish and Christian t.v. stations
Hideous accents
If you are a fundie who wants a small town with lots of people to congregate with after Sunday school....this is your place.
If you are a liberal...run...run far, far away.
