Portland is great -
9/26/2013I really like Portland and I even like Seattle a lot too both cities looks alike. It's beautiful in Portland and the smaller towns around Portland is very nice. Weather is nice all the time never too cold or too hot it's can be a little too warm in summer sometimes and a little humid but it's not bad at all because it's only a week or two in summer. In winter it's rainy a lot sometimes and some years will be different it's will be rainy too much in winter and some years will get less rain than some other years but it's just light rain most of the time and it's can be a little heavy sometimes. Not very cold in winter it's very mild compare to Denver, and Chicago. Denver gets bitter cold in winter and Portland is no where nearly that cold. Spring, summer and early fall is awesome weather here some summer can be sunny everyday for three months and not see a cloud and some summer can have a few more cloudy days than other summers. But it's beautiful in those three seasons. There is some sunny days in winter but it's mostly cloudy days with rain. The job market is great in portland area and economy is doing better and doing good I hope it's stays good because three or four years ago it's was doing a little bad but better than rest of country. Tons of things to do in the state of Oregon and in Portland too. Lots of bike and walking trails. A lot of clean safe campgrounds and mostly along the coast of Oregon. There are campgrounds close to Portland that are great to camp. A lot of sight seeing all over town and leaving town on way to ocean or to the cascade mountains. The people there are very nice and not everyone is nice but a lot nicer than most cities in this country I guess it's has something to do with people liking it in Oregon a lot and that what makes people happy and friendly there. I love the pacific northwest united state it's my favorite part of the country, because of good weather nice folks and very good foods like seafoods and beautiful there. Thank you for reading my comment.

re: Quality of Life in seattle - 7/10/2013 -
9/26/2013Seattle is a great place to live and I think that Seattle and Portland is the nicest and beautiful city in the country. Yes Seattle does have a lot of very good jobs and high paying jobs. It's a lot of technology jobs and it's home of Boeing where airplanes and airliner are build. Yes it's can be expensive living in Seattle but there are areas and smaller towns around Seattle that are somewhat cheaper mostly east and north of Seattle but its worth the money living there because it's good life there. Tons of things to do there because of the beautiful great outdoor. Many bike and walking trails all over and around Seattle and you can go camping in the mountains east of Seattle and along the beach. The is three national parks in the state of Washington which is beautiful to visit. I would avoid living in downtown because it's expensive and a lot of traffic sometimes but it's nice area. Look at north and northeast and east of Seattle is not so much traffic and apartments are a little more reasonable but the small islands near downtown are the most expensive and you have to get on ferry. Yes you will enjoy Seattle and its not very cold like Chicago but its can be a little chilly sometimes in winter and sometimes it's snows there but not like in Chicago it's mostly light to moderate rain in winter. Nov,dec, jan and feb is the most rainiest month of the year but Seattle gets less rain than new York city and Chicago. Seattle gets about 30 to 35 inches a year. Spring summer and early fall is beautiful in Seattle in facts some summer can be sunny for two or three months and not see a cloud in the sky. There are some Sunny days in winter but it's more cloudy days. Portland is also a great city too it's less cloudy and less rainy but not that much and the cost of living in Portland is cheaper mostly in the smaller towns around Portland but overall Portland merto area is cheaper than Seattle if Seattle doesn't work out for you and it's a little warmer in Portland with less snow than Seattle. Quality of life in Seattle and Portland is a lot better than Chicago I think you will enjoy living in Seattle if you have some money and find a descent job there and you will find a job there easy if you are edcated and smart. I am moving to Portland soon or maybe closer to Seattle because I love the pacific northwest united state it's just beautiful there and nice folks there. Good luck moving to Seattle I hope you enjoy living in Seattle.

re: Hyped, White and Classist - 5/12/2013 -
5/30/2013I have to say that I totally disagree with your comment about Portland. I agree with a very few things about your comment. Your comment is mostly very negative. Portland is not a prefect city and no where is prefect but is sure is a whole lot better than all the cities I live in before. I used to live in Austin, tx and Phoenix Az those cities were horrible, Austin is a little better but they both had horrible horrible traffic compare to Portland. I have been to Portland three times before and the state of Oregon six times before and I always love and enjoy visiting Oregon and even Washington state is very nice. I think the people are very nice and friendly and overall the customer services everywhere is very good not prefect but no one was not unfriendly so I didn't have any problem. I agree about the weather is it very comfortable but I don't agree that the nice summer is short because I have been there before in sept and oct and weather still very nice. It starts getting cloudy and rainy sometimes from late oct until middle of march. But yeah every time I visit Oregon any time a year I feel comfortable not too hot or freezing cold. Portland and surrounding towns is very beautiful area and a very few bad spots but overall I think it's very green and clean. I like the facts that the ocean is an hour away and mt hood is a 45 min drive. Tons of very good campgrounds in Oregon and near Portland. There just so much fun things to do in Portland area and outside near Portland. Portland and metro area is one of my favorite city in the country I can't think of other cities better than Portland. So I really don't like your reviews about Portland. I have give Portland a grade of B+ and Austin a grade of D and Phoneix and F because those cities were horrible because of lousy weather and lousy people there so you might want to check out Phoneix and live there for a while and maybe you will realize that Portland is not so bad after all and you might miss Portland. I have give Portand area a long thinking about moving there soon and I will be very happy living there later this summer because overall its beautiful in the northwest and the weather is moderate and comfortable and I personally think people are very nice in Oregon.
Colorado Springs, CO
The worse city in Colorado -
4/24/2013This is one of the worse place I ever live in my life. I move here from Texas to get away from the bad crime and the very hot weather. Colorado Springs is a joke here the crimes are terrible and the people are rude and very bad here. Almost everywhere here has a bad customer service and very few good customer service. There are a few nice ones but get this the nice ones are not from Colorado Springs. Very very rude drivers here they ride on your bumper if you don't drive faster than the posted speed limits, they cut you off and give you a finger if you don't drive fast enough. I feel like I am the only one here following the driving laws and speed limits. These military people are very rude and stupid because they are and it not a joke. The air force people are nicer and smarter here but they are not all great. Working for any jobs here are horrible because of horrible bosses and my family works for them. I have been lucky with my job because I have a good manager but it's rare to find a job here with a good manager here. A lot of jobs don't pay very good here like the rest of the country. It's hard to really find a decent job here. They put crap on the roads to melt the snow and ice and it's ruining the paint job on my families cars so I have to use cleaner wax to clean that crap off but it's not prefect. I wish they find something else to put on the road that does not harm the paint. Denver is a little better place to live but I would not live in Colorado anymore soon. The winter is pretty long here and was got the last snow storm on April 23 and still no green leafs yet from trees and grass still yellow. Summer time here is wonderful here that the only thing I like here late spring, summer and early fall is really nice but winter is very cold and long. I like the mountains nearby and the things to do in the mountains but I hate this city but like other parts of Colorado. This summer I am moving to the pacific northwest where Portland or Seattle is. I have been doing tons of research on the pacific northwest area and it's a great place compare to Colorado. I have met six people here from Washington and Oregon here and they told me that they feel homesick here and ready to move back to pacific northwest soon and don't blame them I should have never move here and should have move straight to Oregon or Washington from Texas a year ago. I don't recommend Colorado springs there are much better towns in Colorado if you have lots of money and not have to work here.
Austin, TX
Hated it in Austin -
4/15/2013I used to live there I hated it there because of the weather was so hot all the time. Traffic is awful. No sight seeing to see leaving Austin. People are ok there are some nice ones around. Drivers are rude. I don't know what's so special about Austin but I am not a big fan of Texas or anywhere in Texas. I am more of a west coast person. Glad I move out of Texas I don't care if you don't agree with me I just don't like Texas because it's boring and hot all the time and can't do anything for fun outside. Good foods there and many good restaurants but that about it. Downtown is ok but not very impressive . Visit other parts of this country like Hawaii, northern California, Oregon, and Washington state and then you will understand why I like those states better.
Colorado Springs, CO
The pros and cons -
4/15/2013I have something to say about Colorado Springs there is too many issue with this town. I mean no where is prefect but Colorado Springs can be better. The pros about this town, bike riding on trails there lots of trails, camping in nearby mountains, the weather is okay but it's would be nice if it's wasn't so damn windy like a tropical force wind but it's nothing I can do about it. Summer time is really nice not as windy and a lot cooler weather than Texas and Arizona. Nice mountains along the city. The cons are that the crimes are horrible. Terrible drivers here they drive so fast that I feel like I am the only one following the speed limit and obeying the driving laws. People here don't know how to yield and they cut you off and ride on your bumper and there's almost no police catching bad drivers well it's probably because they are so busy catching murderer and drug dealers and thief. But not so much traffic here that a nice thing. When there is snow and ice the city put this crap on the road here that reduce ice is ruining the paint job on the cars I notice that on my families cars and mine not very happy about the stuff they put on the road so I have to wax my car a lot to get rid of the stain and to protect the paint job. But it's help reduce accidents but wish they find something else. Too many rude military people and air force people and they have military brats here. Very few are nice but not many and they talk nasty and dirty I can't stand military people very much. The Colorado people are nicer but there a lot of former inmates living in Colorado springs because of large numbers of prisons in Colorado. That why the crimes are awful here. This summer I am done with this city and moving to Oregon because Oregon is a much better place with nicer people and lower crime and it's prettier in Oregon. Thought about Boise Idaho at first but leaning more towards Oregon. Can't wait to move out of Colorado springs. I would have stay here if things were much better and if there was more better jobs here but there nothing here that pays good. I should have move to Oregon from Texas and not even think about moving Colorado its was a mistake moving to Colorado Springs.
El Paso, TX
EL Yucko, Tx -
3/27/2013I call this place EL Paso EL Yucko because it's always dirty and gross and it's also very boring. I have family there and always has a mixed feeling going to EL Paso happy to see family but not trill to be in EL Paso. There is nothing to see to enjoy sight seeing and nothing to do but watch TV all day or play games inside. It's pretty ugly there too. The Mexican foods are great to eat that about the only good thing about EL Paso. If you don't agree with come visit Oregon where I live and compare Oregon and Washington to Texas. It's a million times prettier in the pacific northwest with ton of things to do outdoor and wonderful weather. I am working on trying to get my families to move out of EL Paso because they are missing what a good life living somewhere much nicer than EL Paso. EL Paso is a dump and armpit of America.

re: I LOVE Seattle - 1/2/2013 -
3/27/2013Glad to hear you like Seattle and I agree with you. I love the pacific northwest united state and I am moving to Portland Oregon this summer because visit the northwest four times before and always love going to Washington and Oregon. Great weather and the rain in winter is calm and nothing extreme like in Texas where heavy rain and large hail can happen in Tx. Lot of things to do and to see in Washington and Oregon. I don't agree on the other negative comments about what other people says about the northwest because I just don't get it and I don' t see anything wrong but it's not prefect but the quailty of life is so much better than the rest of the country and I will be happy living in Portland or maybe Seattle.
El Paso, TX
EL Yucko -
3/23/2013I have something to say about EL Paso it's ugly and boring. There is nothing to do there every time I visit my families there I get bored very quick there because there is nothing to do. I have visit beautiful places like Washiington, Idaho and Oregon and those area in the northwest are so much better than the rest of the country if you don't agree go visit the northwest you will understand. There nothing to see in EL Paso but watch TV there all the time. Job market is awful there and low paying job everywhere and I am glad I move out. I wish my families move out of EL Paso and move to Oregon closer to me in Oregon.

re: I LOVE Seattle - 1/2/2013 -
3/23/2013Glad you like Seattle a lot. I have been to Washington and Oregon and its very beautiful there. I am moving to Portland area soon or maybe Seattle. Seattle and Portland area are both wonderful places to live I don't know why I am seeing some negative reviews about both places because it's seem to be not true because I have been there and I like both states a lot. Yeah I agree with you about the weather and the things to do and to see in the mountains and the ocean is beautiful there.

re: Crime Rate - 1/26/2013 -
2/1/2013I have been to Boise before and its a very nice town with a lot of grown trees. Very nice people there. I am thinking about moving there because of low crime and jobs and thing to do there.
Colorado Springs, CO
Not Liking it here very much -
12/30/2012I moved here in Colorado Springs back in Aug of 2012 and regret moving here, its was a little mistake moving here. Too many people here that are from the army, navy and other government type of job people here and most of them are very rude and have no respect. The true colorado people are much nicer. The people from other state with Texas license plate are the very rude drivers and other state too. The job markets here is a joke its hard to find a good job with high pay. There are job here that are available is just that its does,nt pay very good. My family and I have thought about moving to Boise Idaho for a long time and we should have move to Idaho but we thought that we check out colorado springs and see if we like it here or not and we are moving to Boise soon maybe later in 2013. The only thing I like about colorado is the mountains and there is a lot of things to do in the mountains like skiing, camping, bike riding and a lot of sight seeing. Aspen and Vail and some other small towns are very nice in the mountains. If you think about moving to Colorado Springs don't move to the springs because there is other better towns and cities in Colorado. The weather is great here in the summer fall and late springs but winter is very cold and some snow which I don't mind. I used to live in Texas and weather is awful in Texas so the weather is much better in colorado with less rain too. But very glad I moved out of Texas because its was the most boring place I ever live and hot and humid all the time. Part of colorado springs is very nice like the north and west part of town but central and south part of town is horrible with really bad crimes here and its freaking me out a little so I stay away from that area. Like I say we are moving to Boise Idaho because I have visit there before and the people are nice and nicer drivers and you can hang out in downtown Boise and not get rob or hurt there and there is mountains north of Boise and Oregon coast which I love is not far from Boise. I should have done better research on Colorado Spring because its not for me or to my familes here.

re: Not Moving to Austin - Just Not For Me - 6/17/ -
7/11/2012You might want to check out Colorado Springs too and compare it to Boise Id and see which one you like the best too. I was planning to move to Boise but decided to move to Colorado Springs very soon because Colorado Springs is a very nice town just like Boise and there a lot to do in Colorado Springs because there is huge mountains with forest west of the city and a lot to do in town too. Colorado is very beautiful and its much cooler than Texas. Boise is nice too but its just too far away from my families in Texas. But yeah you might want to check out Colorado Springs but if you do stay away from south and southeast Colorado Springs the west area and northeast is the best area to visit and live. Colorado Springs is so much like Boise in many ways so check it out.
El Paso, TX
re: LOW cost of living???? - 6/18/2012 -
6/24/2012You might want to check out Boise Idaho because I found a lot of place to rent and its very reasonable rate. I used to live in EL Paso and I hated it because its very boring and not pretty at all. Its a very plain Jane city and not very green and its very yellow and brown. The mountains are very nice to go to in New Mexico and only 100 miles away going northeast but that about it. You may not like EL Paso at all or you might like EL Paso for some reason but most likely you won't like EL Paso. Check out Boise in Idaho and Eagle,Boise City near Boise. Idaho is very beautiful place with lots of mountains with forests north of Boise and very comfortable weather during summer. Its a little cold in winter in Idaho but its gets 300 days of sunshine in Boise. Boise is a very beautiful city because its clean and neat looking and their unemployee rate is low. Boise may be a little far but its worth to check it out and much better than EL Paso and I am thinking about moving to Boise Idaho to get away from hot and humid weather here in Texas and to do more fun things outdoor while can't do anything outside here in Texas because of the extreme heat.

re: moving to oregon - 6/14/2012 -
6/22/2012Oregon is a great place to live and I wish I live there. I have visit Oregon many times and I always love visiting Oregon from Texas. Its so much cooler weather there during the summer and a ton of things to do. Don't forget to visit Seaside,Lincoln City, Newport and Brookings those towns are neat to visit along the coast and there is a lot of place to hike along the coast of Oregon. I think Salem might be a good place to live and its about 60 miles south of Portland. The west area of Salem has nice houses and its a very nice small city in Oregon. There are some very nice small towns near Portland like Beaverton but check out salem and beaverton. I am moving to Idaho soon because I want to be closer to Oregon and Washington and Idaho is a great place to live too and maybe I might move to Oregon instead of Idaho. You and your family will love Oregon and don't forget that its may rain a lot during winter time but most of the time the weather is pretty awesome almost all the time and no hot weather to deal with in Oregon. Its would be very rare for Oregon to have hot weather.

re: Not Moving to Austin - Just Not For Me - 6/17/ -
6/21/2012Yeah check out Boise in Idaho because I went there recently for a vacation and I love that town Boise because the weather was great and not hot and humid at all. The people in Boise were very nice. Sometimes Boise do get a little hot in July and August but its nothing like in Texas or Arizona. There is no humidity in the air in Idaho so that what makes it more comfortable during the summer. There is mountains with forests nearby with lots of rivers and lakes and Boise is so close to Oregon and Washington where is beautiful there too. Check out Boise because its a really nice city. South of Boise is a lot of farm land mostly in southern Idaho so avoid that area if you don't like farm land. North of Boise is a great area to visit and the city is great to visit too. I am moving there out of Austin Tx because tired of heat and bad traffic and can't go outside to do stuff like bike riding and in Boise I can go out and do fun stuff outdoor. I am looking forward moving out of Austin very soon.

re: Negative Comments - 4/10/2012 -
4/14/2012Yeah I have visit Portland Oregon before and I really like Portland and the state of Oregon and I also like Washington State too. Portland is a beautiful city because of beautiful parks and gardens. There are a lot of beautiful neighbrhoods with nice houses and some area are very affordable like Beaverton near Portland. There are some run down areas and bad areas but its not like in Houston Tx or Los Angeles area the areas are really bad worse than Portland. There a tons of stuff to do in Portland and near Portland and you can go skiing on Mt Hood and go camping near Mt Hood. Huge waterfall and its a beautiful waterfall about 30 miles east of Portland. Yeah a lot houses have big window and skyglass to let in a lot of lights. Late spring, summer and early fall the weather is really nice and comfortable and sunny most of the time. Winter is cloudy and wet but not always because I remember seeing some sunny days during winter. Don't listen to these negative comments because these people are negative people and the happy people are too busy having fun and enjoy life in Portland and don't even look at this website but there are some positive comments about Portland that I like reading.
Austin, TX
The good and the bad -
3/30/2012There really not a whole of nice things to say about Austin Tx but the pros about Austin is that is a nice city compare to other cities in Texas and Austin is a whole lot nicer than EL Paso and San Antonio. Downtown Austin is very nice because of things to do and a nice park around the lake. The weather is only nice a few months out of a year and that during the winter. Nov,Feb and March is nice weather months. The cons are that the weather here is terrible here during the summer time and its starts in May until middle of Sept. Its gets very hot and humid and not as much rain and the last five summers has been hotter and drier than normal.Hopefully the rain will come back this summer but is very likely that summer is going to be a problem with lack of rain. Drought is a big problem here, it may be rainy a lot during the winter and spring but drought always manage to come back. Some areas of Austin is very bad and run down like east Austin. Traffic is awful here and getting worse every year. The traffic lights here is a joke because its like a three year old has set up these traffic signals to control the traffic. The roads are not very well lay out to control traffic because its not wide enough and needs an extra lane and a turning lane is needed near the traffic signals. All the roads here are too small to handle a large volume of traffic. If you look at Phoenix Az and compare the street there in Phoenix is a whole lot better in Phoenix because Phoenix has a larger streets with more lanes and a much better Traffic signals. Phoenix is a much bigger city than Austin but I notice its easier to drive in Phoenix than Austin because its so easy to get around. Austin has a terrible roads that traffic is so bad here. I-35 is horrible going both directions because its three lanes in Downtown and getting on and off is hard sometimes its an old design from the 50's. Housing market is not so great but its might a little better than its has been. Not very much sight seeing leaving out of Austin and its looks rather boring. There are very rude drivers everywhere here in Austin and they get right up your car rear bumper if you are going the speed limit or even a little over speed limit and people drive pretty bad here well I guess its because the roads are not big enough that people gets very frustrated. People here are not very friendly and nice and but there are some very nice people around don't get me wrong. I am fixing to move out of Austin to Bend Oregon this summer because I want to live in a small city with only 85000 people and plus the weather in Oregon is so much more comfortable than Texas weather. In Oregon there a lot of sight seeing and ocean is near by and the its blue not brown like the gulf of Mexico. Its time for me to move on and say good bye to Austin Tx and seven years of Austin is enough.

re: Proud Texan gives up! - 7/10/2011 -
3/9/2012Hi I was wondering have you moved to Oregon yet? If you did how do you like Oregon so far? I am fixing to move to Bend Oregon this summer and can't wait. Oregon has a really nice beautiful summer there because its very comfortable and a lot of things to do outdoor and a ton of sight seeing. If you have not moved to Oregon yet look into Bend or Salem in Oregon those are really nice small cities but Bend gets less rain than Salem also Bend is more sunny during the winter time. Salem weather is really nice but its rains a lot during the winter months but the rest of the year is nice. I live in Texas too and tired of the heat and humidity. Well let me know how you like Oregon I hope you like it in Oregon because I like it in Oregon a lot and I feel good about moving there soon.
San Antonio, TX
re: Wow!!! You guys changed my mind!!! - 2/9/2012 -
2/26/2012I think that no where in Texas is a great place to live. I used to like Austin a lot a long time ago back in the early 90's and mid 90's but and then I moved away and then came back to Austin area 7 years ago and do not like it here anymore. Its has change because ruder people and really bad traffic and its seem like the weather is getting worse by getting hotter and drier. I pretty don't like the whole state of Texas at all because its very boring looking and I can't do anything for fun during summer because its so hot and humid. I am not trying to tell you that you are not welcome here but I don't think you will like Texas very much. There are some nice people here in Texas but not many like its used to be. If I were you look at Bend Oregon or Colorado or maybe central California if you can afford Cailfornia, but Oregon is a great place to live and I am moving to Bend Oregon soon because I will feel so much happier in Oregon because of better climate and nicer people and a whole lot less traffic in Bend Or.
Bend, OR
I like Bend -
2/24/2012I went to visit Bend last summer of 2011 and then recently last month of Feb of 2012 and I have visit Oregon four times in my life time and I always like Oregon,Washington and northern California but I like Oregon the most because the weather is just right in Bend. I love the surrounding mountains near Bend with snow on it all year round. The ocean is not very far to drive and its nice to see the west coast ocean because its very clean and blue and neat to look at. The weather always been nice everytime I visit oregon, sometimes its a little wet and cloudy but not too bad. I like Washington state but would never live there because its too wet there but the summer is awesome in Washington and Oregon. Bend is a very nice small city with many restaurants and shops, its also very clean and more trees to the west. Housing is affordable but not real chaep and the rents there are good not expensive. I made up my mind that Bend is the place where I want to move to in the near future because overall I really like Bend because the weather is the best in that part of the state and its a very pretty area. I am done with Texas because I really hate the hot weather in Texas and like Oregon weather so much better and there is so much more things to do and lot of sight seeing in Oregon than Texas. So bend is the place where I want to be soon.

re: Climate in Portland is not so bad - 9/15/2011 -
2/24/2012My respond to Dubhbairn from Austin Tx is that I have not move out of Austin area yet but will move out this late spring or early summer. I went to visit Oregon recently last month of Feb 2012 and its was really nice the weather was a little cold but not very windy like in Texas. There was some rain sometimes and some snow in mountains but its wasn't bad and some days were very sunny and not a cloud in a sky and then the next day some clouds returns. Its rain a lot for three days before I came there and after I left the weather was rainy on and off so I came and visit the right time and lucky did not have to deal with any bad weather. Overall its was a very nice visit and then when I can back to Texas its was very warm 92 degree and very strange that its 25 degree above normal while the temp was near normal in Oregon every time I visit Oregon.

re: I wish I could choose every category to commen -
2/24/2012You are so full of it because I just went to Oregon recently and I was near Portland and its not a pee-town at all. Yes sometimes its was a rainy in a few places but its wasn't widespread and its wasn't all day sometimes the sun will come out. Yes its was mostly cloudy sometimes when I was visiting in feb of 2012 overall I didn't think the weather was that bad at all and its was a little chilly , but not very windy at all so I felt pretty comforable with the weather in Oregon during my vacation there in Feb. Its makes me wonder if you are a type of person who is trying to keep people from visiting and moving to Oregon. Because I really like the state of Oregon a lot and its may not be perfect but its sure is a lot better than most state in this country.
Salem, OR
re: We are moving to Salem - 11/14/2011 -
2/19/2012West Salem has a really good neighborhoods with nice houses. Its will be west of downtown and west of the river. Ocean is only an hour away going west. Beautiful mountains with very green forest about an hour east of Salem. I am thinking of moving to Salem from Tx because I been there before three times and I really like Oregon a lot. There really not very much bad areas in Salem but I am sure there is a few areas are not so great but overall Salem is a very nice town and I just think west Salem is the best area and its hilly in west Salem.

re: love it here - 12/27/2011 -
12/31/2011I agree with you. I went to Portland to visit during the summer of 2011 and its was very beautiful there. The surrounding mountains and trees is very beautiful there and the weather was awesome when I was visiting Portland. Ocean is not far and the ocean is so blue and clean compare to the gulf of Mexico. Mt hood is neat to look at because its not far from Portland. I would love to live anywhere in Oregon someday.

re: Seattle to Austin relocation - 12/14/2011 -
12/21/2011If I were you I would stay in Washington state or move to a smaller town in Washington or Oregon to get away from a big city like Seattle. I live here in Austin for six years and I really hate it here because its so damn hot and humid and don't feel like going outside. Traffic is awful here and its worse than Portland and Seattle. I have been to Washington and Oregon and I love those state because its so green and ocean is nearby, its was just awesome how beautiful Washington and Oregon is, so I would never move to Texas from Washington because for the most part of Texas is very ugly and not very green and no big mountains where you can go skiing. The people here in Austin are horrible because they are rude and a bunch of snobs and there are some nice people around. I know several people that move here from Oregon and Washington felt home sick and want to move back to Oergon and Washington because they regret moving to Texas and I really regret it so bad that I move near Austin from Arizona and before that I live in California and I miss California but I would like Oregon and Washington better because its cooler and greener. Yeah its may be sunny here in texas all the time but its makes it so hot here and suuny weather in Oergon and Washington is really nice because its does,nt feels so hot there in the northwest. If you really want to move out of Seattle Wa try to look at Colorado or Utah because I am afraid that you might hate it here in Texas. I am fixing to move to Washington or Oregon this July of 2012 because I just love it there and thinking of Olympia Wa.
Olympia, WA
re: pros and cons - 11/21/2010 -
12/17/2011Its seem like you are the only one here on this website that is very negative about Olympia and all these other comments are very positive. So I am having a hard time believing your story because all these other people are saying very nice things about Olympia. I love Oregon and Washington and those are the most beautiful states in the United State and I think the people are fine. Good seafood everywhere in Washington and Oregon. I didn't think the weather was that bad at all because I was very comfortable every time I visit there. You should try moving to Texas and try to live in Texas and I bet that you will miss Washington because I really hate it here in Texas and you should be so lucky that you live in the most beautiful part of the country.
El Paso, TX
re: Ugliest city in the southwest - 10/26/2011 -
11/26/2011One thing I forgot to meantion about EL Paso is that there is many good Mexican Food restaurant in that town and its very good to eat and that the only thing I like about EL Paso no other cities that has Mexican Foods in the country seem to match or even be better than EL Paso. There is some areas of town that is nicer than most part of town and its the westside of town that is the nice part but for the most part along the border is bad and that the reason why I don't like EL Paso very much.
Eugene, OR
re: A very nice town - 10/7/2011 -
11/23/2011Hi Pamela I don't Live in Engene Or but I have visit there a few times before. Yes its only cloudy and rainy most of the time from late fall until early spring. Sunny days between storms in winter but its cloudy 75 percent of the time during the winter. Weather in spring is a lot better becoming more sunny and warmer in April and May and the summer there is wonderful almost sunny everyday during summer. Fall starts to get a little cloudy sometimes with rain and then late fall its cloudy most of the time. But most of the time during winter is chilly and sometimes mild and very green grass from rain. That why there a lot of tall evergreen trees everywhere because of the rain during winter. Overall Eugene is a very nice place to visit and to live and its a pretty town.
Reno, NV
Thinking about moving to Reno -
11/17/2011I am thinking about moving to Reno Nv this summer of 2012. I have been reading and researching that city for a while and found a lot of positive reviews and comments about Reno and fewer negatives about Reno. No city in the USA or in the world is perfect. But overall Reno is a lot better than most cities in the United State and better than all the cities in Texas where I live. Reno is the number 9 best place to live in this country. I am getting very very tired of the climate in Texas because its so awful for seven months and its the summer in Tx that is awful and I heard that Reno has a very nice weather only nine inches of rain a year and 24 inches of snow and low humidity during summer compare to Texas. The surrounding mountains is just beautiful with snow on it all year and here in Texas we don't have that. I like the facts that there is a ton of things to do in Reno like hiking, camping, playing golf, bike riding, skiing, and much more things to do there in Reno Area. Any body reading my comments about Reno I need your opinion and where in Reno is the best area to live. I heard that sw and nw reno is nice area. I am getting tired of Texas and can't wait to move out of Texas and I want to make sure if Reno is the place where my family and I will be happy and the last time I visit Reno was in June of 2011 and overall I like everything about Reno because is a pretty town and so close to everything and its does not look boring at all compare to cities in Tx. I need people living in Reno opinion and informations about Reno that will be very helpful. Thank you. Jay
Texas, TX
Texas is an armpit of America -
11/17/2011Most part of Texas is just butt ugly and its an armpit of the United State of America. Mostly in the panhandle and a large area in west Texas is just plain and ugly nothing to see. Far east Texas is ok there a lot of Oak and Pine trees which is looks better than the rest of texas. Its so hot and humid here in Texas and its seem like summer is getting longer every year and less rain every year and water is becoming a serious problem here. Nothing really much to do and if you try to do something fun outdoor during the summer you can get sick from the heat. I have live in Arizona, California, and New Mexico and Texas is the worse state I ever live. I am moving back out west maybe to Oregon or Reno Nv where I will be closer to California and Oregon and I just can't wait to move out of Texas and its easy to get tired of living in Texas than all the other state I live in before. I thought that Arizona was bad living in Phoenix but no texas is worse than Arizona. I miss the drier air and the Mountains out west and the blue ocean. I am fixing to move out of Texas very soon.
Houston, TX
re: moving to Houston - 9/2/2011 -
11/17/2011This is not an awesome city. A few area in Houston are okay but its mostly a dump. Rude people in some area. If I were you don't move to Houston because you may hate it in Houston and you might hate the weather if you don't like high humidity and heat. Check out Colorado,Utah,Reno Nevada and Oregon those are nice places to live and the weather is more comfortable during the summer in those state.
Reno, NV
re: Reno is an armpit! - 9/23/2008 -
11/17/2011I think EL Paso Tx is the armpit of the America and I don't agree that Reno is a armpit of Americe at all. Its not perfect but its better looking city than the cities in Tx.
Austin, TX
re: Austin is at the top of cities in the USA for -
11/4/2011Hey Don you are so full of it. Austin is not a great place to live, why because traffic is so awful and Austin has the # 3 worse traffic in the country. Jobs are not great because a lot of college Kids and spanish people living here illegally are taking over the jobs. I just found a house for rent and its wasn't high and its wasn't hard to find. This is not a place for seniors because there too many young rowdy adults living in Austin Tx. Most of the people here are a bunch of snobs. Some nice people around but not many. I am moving back to the west coast because I am very tired of the heat and humidity and tired of the horrible traffic. Also Tired of can't go outside to do something fun because its so damn hot and humid. I am thinking of Oregon where the weather is more comfortable and a whole lot less traffic and many sight seeing in Oregon.
Houston, TX
re: moving to Houston - 9/2/2011 -
10/30/2011Oh don't move to Houston its horrible here in Houston. Its so hot and sticky for seven months. Terrible people in some area. Traffic is awful. If I were you I would look into Oregon because that where I am moving to soon. Look at Beaverton,Tigard, or Oregon City in Oregon because they have a wonderful summer and many things to do outdoor. Its rains a lot during winter in Oregon but its very nice the rest of the year. Don't move to Houston because its very flat and not pretty. People are much nicer in Oregon and its so much prettier in Oregon than Texas. You might regret living in Houston Tx after living in Ca.
Astoria, OR
re: Sacramento, California - 4/30/2007 -
10/29/2011Yes its a very nice town and very clean and green. People are very friendly too and I agree with that. But the weather is not great in the winter because its chilly and very wet everyday but late spring, early fall and summer is very nice. Its rains so much more than Portland and Eugene and its never very warm in Astoria its cool during summer time and chilly during winter but its more mild than Portland and Eugene. Job market is not doing so good there right now but maybe recently that has change. I love that town but I would not live there because I would be scare that I won't find a good job there but if I was very rich I would move there because I like the water. Eugene and cities near Portland is a better place to live to find a job. Astoria is not a fast growing city and its been the same for the last 20 years.
Astoria, OR
A very nice town -
10/28/2011I went there to visit during June of 2011. I can tell you that Astoria is a very nice town. Its very green with tall trees on hills and grass very green compare to where I live. In Texas is always brown. Oregon is probably the greenest state because Oregon get enough rain. Three or maybe more movies was film in Astoria, I have seen Short Circuit,Goonies, and Kindergarten Cop was film in Astoria and I don't know if any other movies were film in Astoria. I have seen three of those movies several times and when I visiting Astoria I remember the places that I have seen in those movies like the school in Kindergarten Cop and the downtown area, also the bridge going to washington. I thought its was really neat that I remember those places that I have seen in movies before. The weather was very nice when I was visiting. But its rains there a lot during winter and more rain than the valley of Oregon where Eugene is. I rather live in Medford or Eugene because of less rain but I will always visit Astoria when I live in Oregon because its a very nice town to visit during summer time.
Eugene, OR
re: Eugene - 12/29/2010 -
10/26/2011I think people have the rights to move to Eugene whatever you like it or not. People moved away from big cities for a reason because they want a smaller city like Eugene to retire and tired of traffic. A growing city means better ecomony and Eugene has always been a small city and I doubt that its going to grow very big like Portland and if its going to grow big like portland its going to take like 50 years and Portland is still going to be bigger than Eugene so you can't really control the growing amount of people by telling people not to move to Eugene and Eugene is a very nice place and I think people have the rights to move to Eugene and I am thinking about moving to Eugene to get out of the hellhole where I live.
El Paso, TX
Ugliest city in the southwest -
10/26/2011I used to live in EL Paso for a while when I was a kid after moving there from California. EL Paso is one of the most ugliest city in Texas. The whole state of Texas is pretty much ugly. I live near Austin and Austin is a much nicer city than EL Paso but the heat and humidity is awful compare to EL Paso. When my family and I go visit California to visit I used to be so happy to get out of EL Paso and dread coming back to EL Paso when vacation is over for us. I really don't like all of Texas very much because of the heat and is so boring nothing to see. One nice thing about EL Paso is that Ruidoso and Cloudcroft is not far and its a very nice small town to visit and most of northern New Mexico is very nice. EL Paso has a lot of illegals living there and they say its the most safest city and I find it very hard to believe because they had to boost the miliary people to move there at Fort Bless and its makes me wonder why they are moving a lot of national guard to relocated in EL Paso and I think its has something to do with being very close to Mexico so I really don't think its a safe place at all. I remember when I was little my parent car has been broken into 4 times and we live a nicer part of town where people have more money. One time someone try to steal my parent van and they couldn't because thank god we had dogs barking a lot. Its very dry and rains a very few times a year and I rather see more rain than that. I have families that still live there and I hope they move out of EL Paso someday but they probably won't and I find it werid that some of my families like it in EL Paso because I don't agree with them. Some of my cousins are moving out to California because they are getting tired of living in EL Paso. I will never live in EL Paso because its very boring and ugly and I will visit but just to visit my families for a few days.If you only speak engish in EL Paso its getting harder to find a good paying job because most jobs in EL Paso reqiured spanish speaking because of growing numbers of spanish people from Mexico so I will never live there because of one of those reason. I really don't like the whole state of texas at all and I am fixing to move to the pacific northwest, maybe Eugene Oregon or near Portland Oregon because its so beautiful in Washington, Oregon and northern California.
Portland, OR
re: Not so Great - 10/21/2011 -
10/26/2011All cities are not perfect but I think that Portland is a lot better than the cities in Texas where I live because in Texas we have illegals that are living here illegaly and they are causing huge crime problems. In Texas we have very serious problems with gangs and drugs from mexico and the traffic in portland oregon is nothing compare to houston and Dallas Tx.So I will take the traffic in Portland Or because I drove there in Portland and I can tell you that the traffic is much better than Houston and Dallas. The weather here in Tx are horrible compare to Oregon. Portland is also much much prettier than all of the Texas cities. I find Portland has a very nice comfortable summer than Texas. Yeah its may rain a lot in Oregon from late fall until early spring but Oregon has seven months of really nice weather. In Texas the weather is crap all year long because its so hot over 100 degree with high humidity from late may until early oct and its seem like summer in Texas is getting longer every year. In the winter in Texas we have horrible ice storm with cold snap and plus its so windy all the time in Texas. I much rather have portland or weather over Texas weather because you can't do outdoor activities for fun in Tx and in oregon you can because its much cooler there in Oregon.
Eugene, OR
A very nice town -
10/7/2011I went there to visit in June of 2011 and overall I like Eugene a lot because its very green with a lot tall evergreen trees and flowers. Its very clean compare to cities in Tx. Very nice weather not too hot at all and its was in the 70's and a few clouds. Very friendly people there. Many sight seeing not far from Eugene and the ocean is about an hour away. Oregon and Eugene is very pretty place and I am from Texas and Texas is not very pretty at all in most places so Oregon has a more larger area that is so beautiful there that I didn't want to leave Oregon. I will visit Eugene Or again when I have vacation time and just hang out and visit all these beautiful sight seeing near Eugene and is so relaxing there and a nice place to get away from Texas.
Texas, TX
Not so great -
9/21/2011Texas is not so great because the weather is so miserable here from late May until Sept. Not so pretty here and its alright in a few places. Its so boring and not many sight seeing. Out west like California,Oregon,Washington, and Colorado there is many sight seeing to see and many outdoors things to do and here in Texas if you try to do some fun outdoors activity you might get a heat stroke because its so hot and humid here in Texas most of the time its over 100 degree everyday and drought is a huge problem and a growing problem. The panhandle of Texas is just butt ugly and its flat with no trees and mostly grass. Southeast Texas there a lot of pine trees which I like but its still flat and is so humid compare to the panhandle. West texas is very boring nothing to see and there is some mountains until you reach closer to EL Paso but EL Paso is a boring city and ugly. There is many illegals living in Texas and its a very serious problem because they are causing a lot of crime problems. The job market is a joke here in Texas and I have no luck finding a really good job with high pay. I should have stay in California or move Oregon or maybe to Colorado but my family talk into me to move to Tx and now they all move out. Some people here are nice but not very many and they are mostly snobs. I have visit other states where people are so much nicer and I came from a state where people are much nicer than Tx. Property taxes is a joke here and its so high that I don't know how people here can afford their house payment with those high property taxes. Other states like Oregon and Colorado have a much lower property taxes. I am moving to Oregon or colorado because the weather there is so much more comfortable than Texas. Its may rain a lot in Oregon during the winter but I rather live somewhere where the summer is so nice and not deal with a crappy summer in Tx. I am fixing to move out of Texas very soon.
Portland, OR
Climate in Portland is not so bad -
9/15/2011I went there to visit and visited during summer and the weather was wonderful compare to Texas. Try visiting Texas during the summer and compare it to Oregon because the weather in oregon is so much more comfortable and I was not even using the A/C in my car. I have visit Oregon during spring and winter before and I didn't think its was that bad and yeah its a little cloudy and wet and some days were clear. One nice thing about Portland in winter is much warmer than most part of Tx and its warmer than colorado. Of course the mountains of oregon is cold and snows a lot but in the valley of oregon is pretty mild and I didn't feel uncomfortable. Nov Dec Jan and Feb are the most wettest months in Portland and from April to middle of Oct is really nice weather compare to Tx and some rainy days but not as much as winter. In Texas its so hot and humid from early June until late sept. I much rather live somewhere where the summer can be so nice and not live some where that summer is awful like in Tx. I can take a wet winter like portland and the nice summer in Portland. I don't why people leave a comments that winter is pretty awful in Portland during the winter because its didn't bother me at all and its was rainy sometimes and some clear to partly cloudy days during winter. But yeah most of the time its cloudy during the winter than summer in Portland and the rest of the country is more cloudy during winter than summer. Portland and the rest of oregon is the most beautiful place I have ever visited and I am thinking of moving there soon because the climate there is so much better than Tx and Oregon is much prettier than Tx. I don't have to worry about drought problems in Oregon because in Tx we are having serious on going problems with drought and its a real problem with water. I am done with Tx and moving to Oregon soon because I like it there a lot and visited there many times to make sure if that the place I want to move to and I made up my mind that Oregon is the place I want to live in the near future.
Austin, TX
re: worst place I ever lived - 8/31/2011 -
8/31/2011Yes I agree with you that Austin is not so great to live. Its used to be better during the 80's and early 90's. But now is bad because the people have change and its hard to find a good paying job. Its so hot and humid all the time and its seem to be getting worse every year. Traffic is horrible. And yes I agree about the mold problems here. I am thinking of moving out west maybe Colorado or Oregon where the weather is much more comfortable and less mold in the air and plus nicer people. I totally agree everything you say about Austin Tx.
San Antonio, TX
Horrible city to visit -
8/13/2011San Antonio is a awful city to visit. Many werid and bad people around. Many illegals living in San Antonio. Bad traffic and many bad drivers. One time someone cut me off and was so close hitting my car and I honk at him and he wanted to slam his brake in front of me and get me to hit him and I manage to get away from him and he got out of his car wanting to fight with me, so there a lot of people that are like that there. The weather is so hot and humid all summer long making its so uncomfortable. The only thing I like about San Antonio is far west San Antonio where there is a nice houses around and nicer people. Six Flags and Sea World is neat to visit but other than that stay away from most of San Antonio mostly south, east and downtown. Its not perfect in far west San Antonio either but its just a little better than most part of town. I would never visit there again and a few times was enough.
Portland, OR
I agree that Portland is a great place -
8/11/2011I agree with Ben from Beaverton Oregon because Portland is a great place to live and visit. I am just recently visited Portland in June of 2011 and I just fell in love with Oregon and Portland area and visit oregon other times in the past. Its so green everywhere in Oregon. There tall evergreen trees everywhere. After visiting Oregon its really makes Texas looks like a piece of junk and its so ugly in Texas. I drove up to mount hood and its was just awesome there and there is a huge waterfall 25 miles east of Portland and you have to visit the waterfall because its so neat. The weather was so nice because its cool and comfortable compare to Texas. In texas its so hot and humid which I hate it. There was a few mostly couldy days with a few showers but not long lasting and most of the time its was clear to partly cloudy skys in Portland. I want to move there soon because I like it there a lot and I will feel very lucky to be living there because the quality of life would be so much better than Tx. There is ton of things to do in Portland and around portland, for example hiking, camping, bike riding, skiing, and a lot of sight seeing. I totally disagree with some negative comments about Portland and Oregon because its just a total bullcrap and they should visit Tx and see how bad it is here in Tx because Oregon makes Tx look like a piece of junk big time.
Reno, NV
A Very nice city to visit -
8/3/2011I just recently visited Reno Nv in early June of 2011 and overall about Reno its was very nice two day visit on my way to Oregon. The people living there are very nice because I notice that when I eat in restaurant and a stop for an oil change. The people there are so much friendlier than Texas people. I don't know why some of the reviews are saying that the people there are horrible because I didn't notice that at all maybe they are meeting the visiter from other places that don't lve in Reno. I love the surrounding snow cap mountains west of Reno its very beautiful mountains. Very comforable climate in Reno compare to Texas where Texas is so hot and humid. Its was in the upper 70's in Reno when I visit there in early June. Downtown was very neat and nice but there was a few rough people but its not bad at all compare to Las Vegas. Its more older people visiting Reno to gamble which I like that because you don't have to worry about young rowdy people acting bad. The housing and shopping centers and all the other buildings are very nice and its very clean there maybe because I was in the right area. One cool thing about Reno is so close to Lake Tahoe and a ton of stuff to do there like hiking, camping, skiing, and bike riding and those things are to do in the mountains and its very close by only about 20 miles. I was thinking about moving there just to be closer to California and Oregon but I worry about the unemployment rate being close to 12 percent I don't understand why is so high because I notice its looks so busy everywhere in Reno. But I would love to visit Reno again in the near future. Its a great place to visit to get away from the heat and only travel 30 minutes to Lake Tahoe. The Reno airport was very nice and its not very big or crowded. I recommend Reno over Las Vegas and I don't care for Las Vegas very much because of lot of werid people in Vegas.
Austin, TX
Hot and miserable -
7/29/2011The weather here is just awful because its so hot and humid from early June until late sept but the worse months are July and August. You have to wake up so early if you want to do yard work or to jog because otherwise you can get sick from the heat. I wish I never moved to Texas I really regret it so bad because of the climate. But move to texas to be closer to families but now they have move away and now thinking about moving out west like maybe Oregon or Colorado where the air is dryer and cooler. I thought about moving to Oregon many years ago and I should have move to Oregon and I don't mind the rain and cloudy days in oregon during the winter because its what keep it green there and they don't have drought problems like Texas do. Some part of Oct, Nov and March and some parts of April can be very nice weather but april and May we get terrible thunderstorm with large hail and tornado warnings its can be scary. Texas is okay in some area but overall its not a very pretty state because its mostly flat and a lot of desert west of Austin. Mostly west Tx is desert and some mountains until you reach EL Paso. If you hate the Hot and humid climate and want to move here is not the best place to live because its so miserable here and you can't do outdoor activity because of the heat. I am moving to Oregon, or Colorado soon just to be in a more comfortable weather and I do better in cold weather than hot weather. I am looking forward moving out of this miserable weather.
Oregon, OR
Oregon is a great place to visit and to live -
7/8/2011I love Oregon its a wonderful and beautiful place to visit. I live in Texas and thinking about moving to Oregon soon to get away from Texas heat and crime problems in Tx. Enough of Tx, what I like about Oregon is the weather, the weather is so comfortable from May to Oct and I have been there before a few times during those months. Its may rain a lot there from Nov to Feb but that alright because its what makes its beautiful there. The people there are very nice compare to Texas. There a lot of different kinds of tall evergreen trees everywhere in Oregon and very green. A lot of sight seeing and a lot of things to do like camping, hiking, and bike riding and so much more to do there. A lot of camp grounds everywhere. A lot of animals everywhere that you don't see very often in Tx. The ocean is very clear and blue but very cold but that what makes the weather very comfortable during the summer and early fall. Winter can be cold but not freezing cold all the time and colorado is much colder than Oregon. I heard people telling me that they are overall very happy living there. The coastal towns along the coast is really nice place to visit and great seafoods everywhere even other kinds of foods are great there too. Even the bigger cities like Portland and Eugene are very nice towns to visit and if you visit portland don't forget to visit the zoo and washington park and drive on skyline drive in portland that the most beautiful spot of town. Also the japanese garden is a very beautiful spot to visit. The waterfall east of portland was very neat to visit too and its about 15 to 20 miles east of portland and go on I-84 east and will find signs where to turn off to visit those hugh waterfalls. I will have to do more research on Oregon before I move to Eugene or Medford but i am pretty sure that where I want to move there in Oregon soon and my families loves it there too.
Oregon, OR
The most beautiful place I ever seen. -
7/7/2011I was visiting Oregon last month in the middle of June and its was a wonderful vacation and its was my second time I have been to Oregon. I have visited all the big cities and visited all the coastal towns along the coast and its was just beautiful, its so green and many differents kinds of tall evergreen trees everywhere. The weather was awesome very cool and a very few showers around but its wasn't long lasting showers, most of time the sky was partly cloudy to clear skies. While visiting Oregon I was also visiting northern California and its was very nice in Northern California but Oregon has nicer small towns along the coast, but I love those huge redwood trees in california. Oregon and northern California looks very much alike. Washington state was very nice too very much like Oregon. There is so much to do in Oregon for example, hiking, camping, bike riding, and a lot of sight seeing. I am thinking about moving to Eugene Or in a few years because I want to get away from Texas heat and drought problems. Texas has a lot of problems with crimes. Oregon may not be perfect but the crime is a lot lowered in Oregon. The people in Oregon seem to be so nice too and not like the people in Texas where they are rude and snotty here in Texas. Well I will have to visit oregon more often if I want to move there and this was my second time I visit Oregon so I feel good about moving there because I have already love it there. Oregon is probably the most favorite state I ever visited,California and Colorado is my second favorite state I visited. Its very likely I might moved to Eugene Or in a few years because of very nice comfortable summer. I understand that Nov to march can be very wet but that okay because that what makes Oregon so beautiful and green. I will visit Oregon again soon and I recommend for people to visit Oregon if they want to get away from hot weather and to see all the beautiful sight seeing and visit all the nice small towns along the coast. The western parts of Oregon has a lot of tall trees and very green. The eastern part of Oregon is drier with less trees but that far away from the coast and close to Idaho is Desert. So its very interesting to see all the different enviroment and how its change from west to east. Anyway I recommend Oregon because of cooler summer weather and a lot of things to do.
Leander, TX
Not so great place to live -
6/3/2011I moved here from Arizona and before living in Az I was living in central California near the ocean. Living here in central Tx is a nightmare during the summer time, its so hot and humid from the middle of May until early Oct. Nov,Feb and March or a very comfortable months here but in April we start seeing spring thunderstorm with very large hail until early June. Some parts of the city of Austin looks okay but its not as pretty as California, Oregon and Arizona I much rather live in those western states or maybe Washington state where there the weather is so much nicer and cooler in the western states. They may get a lot of rains in the western state but here in Tx we always worry about severe drought problem. I rather see more rain because here in Tx sometimes we get lack of rain for a long time. The heat here is so awful here and unbearable that you can't really do much outdoor and if you do some yard work or some activity outside you will sweat like a downpour. Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas has a very hot and humid climate during the summer time. EL Paso is much more comfortable than here because its a higher elevation there and dryer but EL Paso is a little bit uglier than central Tx. Nothing is so great about Tx because there almost nothing to see and its mostly flat with no mountains until you reach very far west Tx you start seeing some mountains out there. I regret moving here to Tx but I didn't really have a choice but I should have moved to Oregon from Arizona because I have been to Oregon before and there so much to do there and very beautiful in Oregon. Northern Ca is very beautiful too but a little more expensive to live than Oregon. The people here in Tx are not too great either some of them are very rude and a lot of rasist rednecks here in Tx. I remember people in Ca and Oregon are so much nicer there and they wave at you all the time and they don't know me but they still wave hello and they come to me talking to me like they know me for years. Texas people are not like that at all they are all pretty much snobs here. There are very few nice people here in Tx and its because they are not from Tx and from somewhere else. Soon I am moving back to Ca or maybe oregon because of hot climate here in Tx and its hard to find a good job here. The people here are also an issue too. Tx drivers are pretty bad here and arizona was bad too. The drivers in Oregon are much nicer driver they don't ride on your bumper like here in Tx. They drive normal like a normal nice people would do. Texas is the worse place I ever live in my entire life compare to Arizona, Ca and oregon. I am moving out of Tx soon.
