I'm a real estate agent and specialize in Lake Greenwood property sales. I grew up in Greenwood and my dad famous turkey call maker Neil Cost and I used to fish on Lake Greenwood when I was growing up, I didn't care too much about fishing but I idolized my dad and just wanted to do what he was doing. We used to roam the woods all over the region too looking for signs of turkey and deer so when it was hunting season he knew where they were. It wasn't just a sport for him, it was food for his fmaily. We ate everything he hunted. We didn't know what a domestic turkey was at Thanksgiving! it wasn't until I was grown that I tasted one. I must admit I liked the domestic turkey better :-)

I have five grown children and three grand children. I'm an artist and amatuer photographer.

Lake Greenwood Camping and RV Lifestyle - 12/25/2008
I live on Lake Greenwood in Cross Hill SC and love it! It's a little bit of a drive to Greenwood the largest of nearby towns but the quiet lifestyle, the friendly small town people makes it all worthwhile. I am a realtor and work the lake area predominately and living on the lake keeps me current with the lake. One of the most popular past times is RV camping. I am partial to Moon Landing RV Park & Marina on Lake Greenwood. They are the friendliest people you'll ever meet and their RV Park is a favorite place for RV campers. Camping has become more popular and a lot of people are choosing to live full time in their campers, RV's and Motor Homes. The mild climate in South Carolina is ideal for that lifestyle. All four seasons for variety, but no extreme temperatures. Just when you're tired of one season you'll get a change. The fall colors are beautiful and the occasional snow is a treat rather than a dreaded event. I grew up in Greenwood and left as a young adult and moved to Florida. Necessity brought me back home but having been away for so many years made me appreciate the things I didn't like when I was growing up. It's a quiet lifestyle, not a lot of excitement but sometimes excitement brings some not so desireable side effects. We are growing and lots of people from different areas are moving in or buying vacation property here so as this happens changes are bound to come!
