More like the sunshine capital of the world... - 1/24/2006
Wenatchee is a gorgeous area, but the economy is definatley depressed, also not a place for the liberal minded person, the valley is run by conservatives. Night life is non existent but recreational activities are abundant. I lived in Wenatchee for 10 years and noticed a high cancer rate due to pesticide spraying but there is no proof of this as of yet. Property is cheap and sunshine is plenty. Wenatchee is not like Seattle at all! I Recommend this area to conservative families who enjoy the outdoors.
