Any city in Washington State has a zero percent income tax. This is commonly misquoted for washincton cities on sperling.

It does hurt a little to agree with Tim and Kathryn on neighborhood property crime. This is nearly all from juveniles. The local police know who they are but they just are not committed to solving the problem. My belief is that the Mayor should step in and place some resolve in the police force. In my neighborhood and one of my elder relatives my son and I patrolled the neighborhood ourselves since, like the police, we know who these people are. In both cases once the juveniles and young adults knew that someone was onto them they moved on. We also called the police when we observed people that had no business in the neighborhood simply loitering with an attitude that no one could do anything about it. Sad story I know..I wish it was different..I hope when the juveniles grow up and move out on their own they will be out of my neighborhood and it will be the great place it is having tax advantages due to its no sales tax-no income tax opportunity because of its geographic location. Vancouver also has a temperate climate and great natural beauty.

Sperling states Camas has a 9% income tax. The income tax in Camas is 0%.

(side note: many people that reside in Camas work in Oregon since Camas is part of the suburban area of Portland. Oregon state law requires anyone that lives or works in Oregon to pay the 9% Oregon state income tax.)
