Salt Lake City, UT

Worst air in the Country - 1/22/2013
Salt lake city today has the very worst air quality in the whole US. It earns that title way to often in my opinion. If you have this vision of a beautiful intermountain west city that you want to move to SLC is not it. It is a high crime,Lots of drugs and very dirty city with rude people. I have lived in alot of places but would have to rank this place the lowest I have lived in. Please Look at Denver, Boise , Spokane or many others as a much more honest and friendly place to live than here. Look up the Air Quality index in this Sterling report and compare it to any of the other places listed. The winter air quality here is terrible. I can not wait to move from this place.

So very true on the way the church has it fingers into everything. It is a weird place to live with some of the worst drivers in the country.

Things to consider if you are thinking about movin - 1/18/2011
This neighborhood is one of the better parts of the greater Salt Lake City Metro area. However be warned that the winter days here can be hazardous to your health. Winter inversions often make the air the very worst in the country. It hurts your eyes and lungs it is so bad. Also it is a weird place to live. People are not good drivers and the roads are in bad shape. SLC attempts to put on the air that it is a progressive hip young city. The reality is it is not. Riding a bicycle here is down right dangerous as the drivers act like they have never had to engage their driving skills around bicyclists. Denver and Portland are a much higher quality places to live with much cleaner air.

Wyoming, WY

Missing Northwestern Wyoming - 3/9/2010
I have lived in various western states and the mid-west. I was blessed to live in Cody, WY for over 12 years and greatly miss it. The people are genuine, friendly and the clear days summer or winter are refreshing. Wyoming has some of the best public schools and the lowest taxes in the US. There are exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities and even a low cost recreation center for indoor activities. I would move back to this Northwest part of Wyoming if I could. I have been living in the Salt Lake City, UT area and there is no comparison, it is like the dark ages. Wyoming will always be home. If you are looking for what America use to be a clean country with values and a pioneer spirit, you can find it in Wyoming.
