Longmont is a great town if you were able to buy property several years back and don't want to leave. Right now (12/06) it is difficult to sell real estate - seems like the whole town is for sale. Personally, someday I'd like to move someplace where it is cheaper to live. If you like outdoor activities, especially winter activities, this is the place for you. However, the area does not have lakes and rivers like the midwest. Longmont is a married w/children town, so singles don't fare too well. But the crime is low, and having Boulder and Denver nearby is a plus.
