Retired in June 2006 after 36 year career in arts and university administration. Born and lived 39 years in Los Angeles, 16 years in Atlanta, 5 years as a child in small town Wisconsin, and now enjoying the natural beauty and clean cool air in Bellingham WA. My parents were opera singers, father is deceased, mother in late 80s lives with my daughter in mid-20s in California. Son in mid-40s lives in Hong Kong and directs Asia-Pacific region legal affairs for large multinational financial corporation.

University town located on Puget Sound with sweeping view of San Juan Islands and snow-capped Cascade Mountains, minutes away from one of the world's great international cities Vancouver BC, environmentally aware, politically active, great place to raise a family, outdoor recreation opportunities all year long, not too hot in summer, West Coast property still affordable...but most do not want more people to move here. It's a lovely size for a city, and minutes outside city limits are beautiful farms and forests. Developing over 137 acres of waterfront property donated by Georgia-Pacific which over the next 25 years will transform the downtown and waterfront areas.
