If Only It Could Come Back -
2/16/2014Park Forest is beautiful, but it's going down. You can see tons of green, an excellent library, but also plenty of vacant buildings. In its hay day, it must have been beautiful, but now, it seems it's an empty shell. There is not much business to speak of, and there are definitely safety concerns. Don't even think about going to the fantastic forest preserve. Cook County cannot patrol this far south. And, there is that fact. Park Forest is on the southern tip of Cook County. All the city taxes with no city benefits. I wish we could stay.
