re: Women Beware, Great Disrespect for Females in -
11/2/2008I grew up in St. Pete, and find your comments incredibly narrow minded and insulting. St. Pete is a great place to live. Calling the population, "horrible people" is a bit of an overstatement. Yes, I've seen women walk into grocery stores in bathing suits. Newsflash: they don't live here. Obviously they are tourists. If you've lived here for any length of time you will start to be able to immediately discern who is from here and who isn't. I also couldn't agree less with the portion of the post stating that women "go right along with it." True, guys can act like that when you go out at night, but that's true in any city. The same behavior was evident in all of the places I've been on vacation with my friends (wow-including those up north). There are some nice guys and some over gelled, over styled jerks. All of my girlfriends are college educated and are definitely not appreciative when the behavior is inappropriate, nor are we bimbos. I just recently moved back after graduating from college, where I definitely missed the beach and sun. If you don't like living here move back to wherever you came from, and quit complaining about my beautiful city.

11/2/2008There's a lot to do in this area. I love living close to the beach and several great places to eat and shop.
